2012 – Celebrate Israel Parade
When is the Parade?
The Parade will be Sunday, June 3rd, from 11AM to 4PM.
What is the route for the Parade?
The Parade will go up Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue from 57th to 74th Streets.
What happens if it rains?
The Parade happens – RAIN OR SHINE.
What is the 2012 Creative Theme?
It is “Israel Branches Out”.
We will celebrate Israel:
- Being Fruitful
- Growing Flowers and other crops
- Finding its roots, seeds, etc.
How do Marching Groups register?

In order to be fully registered, you must first submit:
(a) Official Registration Form, (b) Tone and Spirit Agreement, (c) Registration Fee and (d) attend a mandatory Creative Planning Meeting.
Please Note: It is important that you read the Parade’s Participation Guidelines, Rules and Regulations to ensure that you are eligible for participation. The Parade reserves the right to refuse participation in the Parade, if a group does not meet the criteria.
What is the Marching Group minimum?
Yes, the minimum requirement is 60 individuals per Marching Group. If your group cannot meet the requirement, please consider being in a Cluster Group. Cluster Registration
What is the Registration Deadline?
The deadline for registration is March 30, 2012.
Any registrations received after the deadline and approved will require an additional fee of $100.
What is a Spectator Group? How can I register?
Spectator Groups are organized groups of individuals who wish to have a designated spot along the Parade route for their constituents to meet and cheer the marchers as they progress up Fifth Avenue. Registration
Do past participants need a Creative Planning Meeting?
Creative Planning Meetings are MANDATORY for all participating groups. At the Creative Planning Meeting, you will be updated with the latest Parade information for participation and ideas for props and regalia. The Parade staff will also review the Guidelines for Participation and Rules & Regulations to ensure that your group has a smooth, safe and enjoyable Parade experience!
How can I volunteer for the 2012 Parade?
The Parade needs volunteers for Parade Day, as they play a critical role in ensuring a smooth, safe, fun day for all who attend. New volunteers are required to attend an initial meeting with a member of the Parade Staff, and all volunteers are required to attend two orientation meetings prior to Parade Day. Can I get information on the Central Park Concert?
This event is unaffiliated with the Celebrate Israel Parade. Please contact the National Council of Young Israel for information about the concert.
