<p class="body-copy">Our Celebrate Israel Initiative provides programs and opportunities to inspire and reinforce pride in the State of Israel. It is an initiative created by JCRC-NY, in collaboration with UJA-Federation of New York, the Consulate General of Israel in New York and Israel’s Ministry of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs.</p>
<p class="body-copy">The keystone event is the Celebrate Israel Parade. The Parade is an annual event that has become the world’s largest gathering in a non-partisan show of solidarity with the land and people of Israel<strong>. </strong></p>

<p class="Sub-Header-1"><strong>New in 2011</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Celebrate Israel Parade</strong>  &#8211; For the first time the Parade was televised live and was also streamed live online so that tens of thousands around the world could watch.</li>
<li><strong>Celebrate Israel Run</strong> &#8211; JCRC-NY and NY Road Runners created the first Celebrate Israel Run on the morning of Parade Day. Over 6,000 runners ran a four-mile course in Central Park with special mile markers representing a journey from Eilat to Tel Aviv. A celebration with Israeli music, Israeli food, and a prize raffle followed the Run.</li>
<li><strong>Celebrate Israel Concerts &amp; Events</strong> &#8211; Top-selling Israeli bands, Hadag Nahash and Beit Habubot,and Israeli singer of Ethiopian heritage, Israela Asago, were brought to New York to perform to enthusiastic crowds.</li>
